Building schools, churches and lives...
Love A Child School, Savaan Pit, Haiti
Each student in our 13 Love A Child schools receives a hot nutritious meal every day, in addition to a good education in a safe Christian environment. We feed over 5,000 children each day!
These children, in Savaan Pit, Haiti, know they are fortunate to attend school. When we start a new school, we immediately begin seeking a sponsor for each child. Haitian school children must wear a uniform because it is the law. You can always spot a LAC school child by the bright blue and yellow uniform.
This shed is really a school

Love A Child School at "Madamn Bauje," Haiti
These are the children of the Madamn Bauje School, and the shed behind them is actually their school. This little school was desperately poor. When we saw these children, we knew we had to take on this school.
They are so respectful...when we came to visit, all of the children stood and sang to us. We cried because they touched our hearts so deeply. Now, they have uniforms, books, medical care and a hot meal every day! There is no well for cooking and drinking water at the school, so women carry heavy buckets of water from a well 30 minutes away.
Love A Child desires to change this brush arbor tonnel school into a nice beautiful block school building in the very near future. We will keep you informed and let you know when we make plans to build a new school here.
Church is an important part of life

The Sunday Crowd in Fond Parisien
When Haitian people go to church, they put on their best clothes. Everyone cleans up and looks their very best. You won't see men in torn jeans or women in pants at worship, they respect the church so much.

Fond Parisien Church/Feeding Center
We've been doing this for over 30 years!
Love A Child has been building schools and churches in Haiti since 1972. In most places, the same building usually serves as both school and church. Building materials are scarce, so this way the building is in almost constant use. In Fond Parisien the church and feeding center share the same building.

This is the Le Tant Church/School...

It may be plain, but it is well-built and greatly appreciated. Before the church was built, the people worshiped under a tin shed. Now they have church and a school!
A new church is dedicated...

Church dedication is a joyful event. The people know that they have received a wonderful gift when the building is finished. Now they will have a church and school in their village They decorate the church as best they can, and praise and thank the Lord for the new building.
You make this possible and the people of Haiti are so thankful.
A gift of any amount will help build churches and schools in Haiti. In the poorest and most remote villages, there is a dire need for schools, food and Christian education. With your help we can provide all of these. Your gift will help make this possible.

Thank you for praying about a gift to build schools and churches.
God bless you and we love you,
Bobby and Sherry Burnette
