Updates on Children Title

Take a look at how some of the Haitian children are doing after surgery.

Clepson...

Clepson was born with one blind eye.  His blind eye has caused him constant pain.  Recently, He had his eye removed and is going to the Ocularist for his artificial eye.  He is doing great and is staying with a wonderful host family, The Thompsons, and should be back to school here in Haiti in September.

(Note:  Clepson is so intelligent that he scored one of the highest positions in his grade level here in Haiti.  He is "emailing me" in English from the States.) Special thanks to his host family and "Mommie Nina."

Mario...

Mario is fourteen years old.  He fell out of a tree a few years ago, broke his ribs and his foot and never told his mother!

Mario before his surgery

He had severe problems with his heart for years and would have died without surgery.

Now, he is back home at our Orphanage doing great!  Special thanks to his host family and especially "Mommie Lolita!"

Dimelia...

Dimelia was badly burned at the age of four.

She spent 8 months in the "General Hospital" having skin graphs.

She was never able to lift her arms or turn her neck due to scar tissue.

She had surgery in the States and can now "lift her arms and turn her neck!"

She may have to return for one more surgery on her chest area, but she is doing great!  Special thanks to her host family and "Mommie Lori!"

Jesus Healing Center...

Our Jesus Healing Center is fully operational and each day cares for many sick people and babies.

Right now, we are building "Housing for the Haitian Medical Staff" for our "Doctors and Nurses" traveling from far away every week to work in in Jesus Healing Center.

Haitian Doctors Housing
We look forward to having volunteer doctors and nurses from the States come to stay at our facility for 3-6 months at a time.

Special Need...

In March, a team member brought a portable ultrasound to use in our clinic.  We saw what a great blessing the equipment was when it showed two serious problems with pregnant women who came to the clinic.   We are praying for a portable "ultrasound" machine which costs approximately $25,000-$28,000.  If you would like to donate this equipment to Love A Child, please send us an email at info@lachaiti.org.

Another Great Need for our Jesus Healing Center - A portable digital X-Ray machine, the latest technology, which does not use the old "X-Ray Film or chemicals," but instead the X-rays will go right into the computer and can be printed out.  This digital X-Ray equipment can be used in any room!  The cost is $8,000.  Please pray about how you can help provide this equipment for our Jesus Healing Center.  If you can help, please email us at info@lachaiti.org.

Mobile Mountain Clinics:  We travel with volunteer teams to villages who have no doctor, hospital or clinic.  We can treat an entire village in just a few days.  If you are interested in traveling on one our "Medical Teams," please go to our Mission Team page and complete the forms at the bottom.  It will change your life...forever!
