02-03-2012 - 8:00 PM - The Vineyard Team finished the houses they were building in Miracle Village. Today, they were busy sacking food they purchased for all the families in Miracle Village and Le Tant. Tomorrow is a big day! They will distribute the food, and they will meet the mountain Pastor from Covant, whom they purchased a motorcycle for!  The team also bought a generator for Pastor Belgad which he uses for the tent Church in Miracle Village.  They bought paint for the houses they just built, and solar panels for the Miracle Village Clinic too! We are so thankful for their heart for the poor! Sherry

5:00 AM - We will be leaving to go to the States this morning to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday! Marion Barner, alias Grandma Barner, is the pillar of my life.  If you would send a birthday card to her, it would be great...she says she will be "ready to go" at any time after 90.  Marion Barner - 155 Needle Blvd. - Merritt Island, Fl  32953   P.S.  She loves Denny's, Taco Bell, and the Olive Garden.  She is the reason, "I am what I am..." Love, Sherry

02-02-2012 - 5:30 PM - By FAITH, we are hoping to have the new church built in Miracle Village and have a 20 couple wedding by May!  By July, we are praying that we have the new 30,000 square foot Food Distribution Center completed!  Thank you, Jentezen Franklin!  We are also praying that we will have the huge Marketplace under construction within three months.  This new Marketplace will be located between Fond Parisien and Miracle Village.  It will be a great blessing to thousands in our area and beyond!  Soon, we plan to start building the Griffin church and school, and the Bethel church and school!  By FAITH, Lord give us all strength... Bobby

The Food Distribution in Fond Parisien will be today, not yesterday. (My mistake)  Be sure to see Sherry's Journal today about a story of a "village drunk" whose life has changed...all because of love.  Sherry

Nelio

Meet Wilson Barthelemy, better known to all of us as Nelio.  He is the director of all of our Love A Child projects and outreaches.  He has worked for us for twenty years.  He is responsible for all we do in Haiti...our feeding programs, our schools, getting our containers out of Customs, hiring new people, all of our licenses, and the maze of hoops we jump through, just to survive.  We do not know what we would do without Nelio.  He is our gift from God.

Bobby and Sherry

We want to thank you for visiting our website because this means you are someone whose heart has compassion for those living in poverty in Haiti. We are the Founders and Directors of Love A Child. We moved to Haiti in July, 1991 as full time missionaries, and we can say that this has been the greatest joy of our lives.

If you are interested in feeding the hungry, sponsoring a child, building a missions project, or traveling into the “regions beyond” on foot, four-wheel drive, or even by mule or donkey, then this is the mission website for you!  We also invite you  to visit “Sherry’s Journal,” a daily, cultural diary of life on the mission field of Haiti!

God bless you,
Your Missionaries in Haiti
