"Future Project..."    Love A Child's "Missionary Training Center"

 

 

Many times, people come to Haiti on "short term mission teams," and think they want to be a "full time missionary."  We have had people come and stay with us as "long term missionaries," but when the going got tough, they left.  They had the "desire," but not the "calling."   Even when someone goes through "several years of Bible College" it does not prepare you for the "hard knocks" you suffer on the mission field... especially the mission field of Haiti.

 

 

Our vision...

 

Our vision is to have a Training Center, where Pastors can send their "future missionaries" for a three-month course of "hard knocks" on the mission field.   We can find out really fast, if they are truly "called of God" for the mission field, long term.

.

 

There are so many great missionaries who have lived in Haiti for twenty years and longer who would love to share their experience with "new missionaries."   Besides, why should anyone come to Haiti and make the same mistakes Sherry and I have?

 

This project has been upon our hearts for years.  It will take a miracle to see this through, because "our plate is already full," but then, we serve a "God of miracles!"
