Food Distribution Center title

Finished!

Kingdom Connection Food Distribution Center...

The new Food Distribution Center is "as long as a football field!"

New FDC

PROJECT COMPLETE!!  PTL!!

FDC front view

Now, we need to stock the shelves.

Below is our old Warehouse, where we used to distribute food...we have outgrown it!

Each month, we are blessed to be able to share our food with over 40 other missionary organizations and those who have feeding programs...

Loading food

This takes an entire 40-foot container of food to give out to all these deserving people who help the poor...

Containers at FDC

This time Robert de Vries, one of our missionaries, was working on the fork lift to unload the heavy pallets of food...

Some people come with pick up trucks, big trucks, tap tap trucks...and some even have to rent a larger vehicle to pick up their food...

Trucks at FDC

But they are grateful!

Vehicles at FDC

When we receive food from Feed My Starving Children, we have to check the container number and give a report back to FMSC on the quality and quantity of food that arrives.  Were the boxes broken?  Did anyone steal any food before it arrived in Fond Parisien?  How many boxes of food were on board?  Where was it distributed, etc... All this information helps both Feed My Starving Children and Love A Child to do a good job with accountability.

Boxes of food

When the missionaries come, it gives us a chance to visit with them, have fellowship and let them know what a great job they are doing in their area.  We are all "working together."

Getting food

From our Warehouse to the Mouths of the Poor...

From our Food Distribution Center warehouse, food is carried in four-wheel-drive trucks to remote villages where our schools are located.

The food is prepared by Love A Child cooks, outdoors in huge pots on charcoal stoves...

Hungry children are waiting...

Some can sit or stand at tables, but some squat on the ground, because there are not enough chairs or room at the table for the huge crowd...

Boy and food

Parents have "hope..."

We are also blessed to be able to distribute food to entire families in many areas, like these...

The crowd gathers for food distribution

Families in impoverished villages like Bethel and Cotin count on this wonderful, nourishing food to subsidize their food when crops fail, when there is no rain, when they cannot make money on a day-to-day basis... A food distribution always means so much more than "food."  It means "hope."

And now we must do more...

The Lord has laid upon our hearts to build a much larger Food Distribution Center, and when we planned to build this, the Lord sent Pastor Jentezen Franklin to come to our rescue.

JF With Bobby

He and his partners are sponsoring this new 30,000 square foot "Kingdom Connection Food Distribution Center."  Thank you, Pastor Franklin and partners, for providing the funds to build this facility to store food which will save lives.  Here is what has been done so far...

Giant Beam

We didn't have the proper equipment, and we had to "make do."

Trying to Select the Beam

We used our equipment to put the heavy beams in place.

Pushing the Beam

Our workers did whatever it took to get the job done.

LAC Worker Stanley

Soon the sides were up, and it was time for the roof.

Using crane

Now, all the beams for the roof are in place.

FDC

This building means being able to bring in more food to feed more children like this...

Malnourished child

And the food will help thousands of Haitian children grow up healthy...

God bless you, LAC Partners, for your vision, and God bless Pastor Jentezen Franklin for sponsoring this huge project!!!

We need to keep this Food Distribution Center full of food for starving children every month....Here is how you can help.

A gift of $24 sponsors 648 meals

A gift of $120 sponsors 3240 meals

A gift of $500 sponsors 13,500 meals

A gift of $1,000 sponsors 27,000 meals

Now, this Food Distribution Center will help us store more food to feed many more hungry children and their families in Haiti.

We love you all!!
