Bob and Carole

Meet Bob and Carole Stufflebeam... It's really hard to find qualified missionaries, willing to sacrifice and willing to "stay the course."  Love A Child is blessed with these two wonderful missionaries, and we need more like them.

Bob and Carole have been working with us for several years.  When the Jesus Healing Center was built, we found ourselves saying, "Who will be able to organize the Clinic, file for the Haitian licensing, make it run smoothly and take it to the place of "excellence," that we strive for?  God sent Carole to us.  She not only runs the Love A Child Clinic, but helps in many other areas, such as Food Distribution, Warehousing and even our beautiful landscaping on our Love A Child property, and much more!  She is amazing!

Bob is our "maintenance man," our "fix the broken pipes," guy, "leaking generators" and so much more.  He is busy from "before sun-up" to after dark.  We just cannot say enough about them.

Bob and Carole are "living by Faith."  They must trust the Lord for all their financial needs to be met.  If ever you or your church has thought about supporting a "real missionary couple," these people are the "real thing."

A Message from Carole and Bob

Have you ever delivered a baby in a hut (KAY-PAY) with a dirt floor, or stepped into a village just after a baby was born??

Mud huts

I have, and to this day I ask myself, "How do any of these babies or their mommies survive when delivering in this situation?"

The hands that help are not clean, the item to cut the cord may be a tin can lid, and the wrap for the baby may be a soiled cloth. All this has left me with a great vision for these mothers, an OB ward where they come to deliver their babies and stay for 24 hours.

Until then...

Until this vision can be completed, we at the Jesus Healing Center have put together delivery kits for the mothers to take home in their 8th month of pregnancy. They have all they need for delivery and for the babies' first minutes in their new environment. Miryame, the head of supplies, takes great pleasure  in being the one to talk to each of these mothers, and give them instructions and guidance so they will have a safer delivery for both themselves and their babies.

Delivery kits

The JHC will some day have a place to assure a good delivery, follow up for the mother, and observation of the baby.  For now, these mothers  know someone cares enough to see that they have a safe delivery.  We give a gentle touch, a warm smile, and a little gift, just to show we really care for them.

We are glad to be working here in the country of Haiti, and a miracle like this is such a blessing.   Please pray about helping to support us on the mission field here in Haiti.  If you would like to send a donation or other correspondence, please send it to Love A Child, Inc.,  Attn:  Carole and Bob Stufflebeam, Post Office Box 60063, Fort Myers, FL  33906 or click here to donate now.

Thank you for helping the poor people in Haiti!
