Apostle Paul said,
II Cor. 10:16
Many people have asked us this question: "Why do you have to feed the people, clothe them and give them medical care? Why can't you just 'preach' to them?"
Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature..."
Mark 16:15
When Bobby & I first came to Haiti, we never fed anyone...we never conducted medical clinics...we never built schools or gave the thirsty farmers water. We just conducted crusades and preached to them.
One day, while preaching to a crowd of thousands of people in Port-au-Prince, one lady (like this one) held up her malnourished baby above the crowd and yelled,
"If God is so good, why is my baby so hungry?"

We found out that when a mother has a hungry child, it is easier to "show her God's love" by feeding her children first...

When we find sick people in the mountains, and they don't understand that Jesus can heal, and they don't know Him as their Saviour, it is easier to conduct a medical clinic and share God's love...and they accept Jesus!

When we travel far into the mountains and see that there is no school, we build Christian Schools, so that children can have a Christian Education and learn about Jesus.

When we go into a village where there is no water, we drill wells and give the people water, because "Jesus is the water of life..."

When we meet witch doctors, we share God's love and they quickly become Christians...

Above, Joel and his son worship during Sunday service in Fond Parisien. He is a devout Christian now, but when we met him, he was a witch doctor in Le Tant.
These outreaches are not done by "Bobby & Sherry," but by the wonderful, wonderful Love A Child Partners who make all this happen. All these rewards will be shared by the little widow woman who gave, and all those who sacrificed, large and small gifts. We are "partners" together.
And when we go "into the regions beyond," we must have "four-wheel-drive vehicles." No one in the world could understand what a beating these vehicles take over the rough terrain. We go through tires and we are hard on vehicles. Every vehicle we have has been beat to death...we constantly have to repair "junk vehicles" and it costs us a lot of money each month in repairs.
We now need two new "four-wheel-drive" diesel vehicles...each costing $28,000.

We need a new large four-wheel-drive food truck, (like our old Mitsubishi) $43,000 and one additional four-wheel-drive costing $30,000. We need new trucks because if we buy used trucks, they will just break down over and over again.

We need to buy these trucks here in Haiti, because the trucks in Haiti are made for the heat, the dust, and the rugged terrain, and we would not have to pay shipping.
If anyone reading this journal has sold a piece of property or come into some money and wants to "tithe to the poor" or if your church wants to sponsor a truck, please contact our Tampa, Florida Office at 813-621-7263 or send us an email at info@lachaiti.org. We do not have the money for even one vehicle, so this will take a miracle, but God is a God of miracles!
We love you,
Bobby and Sherry Burnette
