A Haitian Creole Proverb...
I like to say, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear hath heard."
Since the day we first came to Haiti in 1971, we never dreamed that the Lord would use us to help the poor in the third world country of Haiti, nor did it enter into our hearts what a great role "medical missions" would play in winning people to the Lord...

Since the disaster that hit Haiti in January, we are so very thankful for each and every doctor and medical person that has sacrificed their time to help. The USNS Comfort took in thousands and did emergency surgeries. Afterward, they had to find places to send the people for post op recovery, and extended care...most of them are amputees.
Helicopters are landing every day with those who need this continued care...

As the helicopter circles, a group of "transporters," and doctors wait on the precious cargo...

Those who have had surgeries are taken to the triage tent where more doctors are waiting...

As the sun gets brighter, a patient covers his eyes and prays on the way to the medical tent...

They will receive the best of care...as one patient put it, "I am treated like a king, here!"
It is amazing through these last weeks that whenever we needed someone special, God sent the best to do the job.
We have outgrown our Jesus Healing Center...

We had a wonderful "Preventive Malnutrition Program" for mothers inside our Love A Child Church...

There were so many mothers coming with their babies...
When the earthquake hit, we gave up our Church and three of our schools for the needs of the injured.
Now, we had no place for our Preventive Malnutrition Program or our Vaccination Program. In addition, we were getting ready to have a special OB/GYN Care clinic for mothers...
The Richard W. Hotes Foundation knew of this need and donated a wonderful, new, big tent. This tent is so big it could serve all three of these outreaches, but we had no one here who could put it together and get it up.
Then, David Wood and his "Tennessee crew" drove up and asked what we needed. So, they got on the job! The only problem is that they could only stay 24 hours, and then had to leave for the Dominican Republic.
Some of our Haitian workers had started on the floor...

David Wood and his "Tennessee crew" are the Dream Team #2!

They went right to work, and worked through the night!

Here, you can see the crew assembling the massive tent frame...it is huge!

By early morning, they were 99% finished; they were only lacking two doors...

They had one door up, but not fastened, and lacked one more door...that was all!
It is a BIG medical tent!

Bobby's Dream Team! Special thanks to David Wood, and his friends Scott, Adam, Larry and Bill! They worked so hard and never complained...God bless you all!
This wonderful tent will help us continue with our Vaccination Program and our Preventive Malnutrition Program, so that babies don't end up like little Toussaint did, when we first got him...

God Bless You, and please pray that our "mobile kitchen" makes it here in one piece!
Please continue to pray about how you can help the children of Haiti. You can make a difference today in the life of a child in Haiti. If you would like to make a donation right now, please click on the red button below.
Thanks,
Sherry
