Love A Child is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian Humanitarian Organization, and also a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO). Love A Child is member of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability (ECFA), which has the highest standards of accountability for non-profits. We also have the Independent Charities of America (ICA) "Best in America" Seal of Approval.  Love A Child is working to reduce the poverty in Haiti.

 

Bobby and Sherry Burnette, founders, live in Haiti at the Love A Child Orphanage. We are working to spread the word of God and show the love of Jesus by example, as we minister to the poorest of the poor in Haiti. Our outreach programs include 13 Love A Child schools, where we educate and feed over 5,000 children each day, and food distribution programs that feed thousands of Haitian families. With the help of our partners, we establish churches in villages, hold remote medical clinics and oversee many other projects to benefit the poor in Haiti.

We have great hope for these children. Our dream is for them to grow up as strong Christians and receive the best possible education, even college. They are the future of Haiti, and who knows, someday one of these children may become the president of Haiti.

 

 

We share the love of Christ through remote medical clinics

 

We handle the children with loving care, so the parents can see that we love the child making it easier to win them to the Lord.	Before the families leave the clinic, Bobby prays with each parent and child. It is touching to see how grateful the parents are for the bags of medicine.

 

We share the love of Christ through our food distribution program

 

These mothers are returning home with happy hearts, because tonight their children will eat.  They gladly stand in line to receive a parcel of food from the Love A Child food distribution program.  All of them pray and thank God in advance for receiving their box of food.  Please read on to find out more about Love A Child, Bobby and Sherry, and their work in the country of Haiti.

 

This food is donated by Feed My Starving Children, a wonderful charity in Minnesota. They are our partners, and we love them for all they do to feed the children and families in Haiti!   Love A Child is responsible for transporting the food from Minnesota over land to Miami, and by ocean freight into Haiti. We have to pay any Haitian Customs duties, and then transport the food from Port au Prince to our Love A Child Village in Fond Parisien.     From there, we distribute food to our schools and feeding programs, and we share with other orphanages and organizations. This is all made possible through our wonderful LAC partners!
